Conference “ Entrepreneurial education – Encouraging an entrepreneurial reasoning”

In order to correlate the Universities with the business sector within the framework of its activities and functioning BSC Bitola has organized an international conference on topic “ Encouraging an entrepreneurial reasoning“ , with  participation of 69 participants , foreign experts and university professors from Netherlands , Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo , as well as professors from the Macedonian Universities, students, representatives from the business sector, the Regional Business Centres BSC and other associations and corporations.

The conference was opened by the rector of the University St. Kliment Ohridski from Bitola, the professor dr. Zlatko Zolglev, Rozita Talevska Hristovska the manager of the Centre for business development BSC Bitola and professor dr. Konstantin Petkovski, team leader.

The plenary part of the conference continued with the presentation of professor dr. Dean Iliev, and besides him, interesting presentations in the plenary part of the work of the conference have had Donald Ropes professor from Netherlands, Aleksandra Sinadinovska Sumar from the Euro College from Kumanovo, the professors and experts from Netherlands Joop Vianen, Hans Wissema  , Cordin Kruijne , Martin Haring , Miroslav Mateev professor at the American University in Bulgaria and Petko Ruskov professor at the Sofia University.

The purpose of the conference was the integration of the study research in courses with successful practical experiences, through :

  1. Presentation of the scores from the research for student aspirations for entrepreneurial education which was administered at the University “ St. Kliment Ohridski “ Bitola.

  2. Building a platform for changing ideas for establishing more entrepreneurial accesses for the curriculum.

  3. Connecting the gap between the business sector and the higher education.

The second part passed on work in three groups :

I GROUP : Entrepreneurship in the faculty programs

II GROUP : Teaching methodologies : Entrepreneurial access

III GROUP : Bridging over the gap between the Universities and the business sector

Recommendations and conclusions for future functioning were prepared within the framework of the working groups. At the final day of the conference , these conclusions and recommendations were presented on a plenary session and accepted of all the relevant subjects. The obtained information and experiences have great significance for successful finishing of the project.
