Project “The entrepreneurial aspirations in the higher education“

The Centre for business development BSC Bitola alongside with the University “ St. Kliment Ohridski” perciving the need of the business sector  for better academic staff and the need of the students for introducing entrepreneurial subjects at the University “ St. Kliment Ohridski “ –Bitola ,has together started to implement a project for establishing entrepreneurial education at this university “ The entrepreneurial aspirations in the higher education”.

The purpose of this project is:
Raising the consciousness  for the significance of the entrepreneurship as a factor for bridging over the problem with unemployment as well as for the need of entrepreneurial education al all levels,at a national level ,especially among the students
Initiating a process for administering the entrepreneurial education within the framework of the curriculum at the Universities in the Republic of Macedonia
Establishing Centres for starting up a career at a university level, which will support the possibilities offered by the European tranfer credit system and will meet the needs of all the interested students from every faculty
This is a way at which a change towards increasing the practical knowledge, improving the quality of the education and rationalization of the teaching staff at the faculties  is encouraged
The realization of the project is in three phases,the first two of which are already completed:
Research
Presentation of the achievments of the research and promotion
Creating a curriculum with a packet of subjects  from the domain of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial management
A subject and a goal of the research was establishing the need for development of entrepreneurial skills with the students at the University “ St. Kliment Ohridski”  – Bitola.
The following conclusions were brought after the research was completed:
Emphasized need for subjects from the domain of the entrepreneurship in the curricula of all the facutlies ( obligatory and  optional)
The subject Entrepreneurship  to be maintained at all the faculties and not only at those from the econimic and business area
It is noted that the practical education isn’t prevalen enough in the curricula and a book of rules for regulating this question at the level of all the Universities should be prepared
A Need for  existence of centres at the level of universities or faculties for supporting the students for making business plans is expressed
Need of providing sources for finacing of these centres
Need for introducing the subjects: management of changes, business surrouding, innovation and competitive advantages, management of small business, business communication, business leadership, marketing and business ethics.
The ways at which the program of the curriculum will be realized are the following:
The teaching of all the subjects to be realized more practically in order better to be obtained better professional knowledge and skills
Practise and probation to be implemented during the studying
A better cooperation between the Faculties and the business sector to be built
